How is studying Tourism and Recreation going to benefit you?
This degree programme can be conducted either in the full-time.
In the full-time mode, you will meet with your academic teachers and fellow students in the University’s classrooms during classes on working days, usually 3 or 4 times a week.
This degree programme can be conducted in the hybrid form:
• lectures will be conducted online via MS Teams,
• practicals, tutorials and language classes will take place in the University’s classrooms.
Lectures and classes will take place on separate days, so that they don’t overlap. On one day you will have only lectures or only practicals.
If you love travelling and you enjoy sport and recreation, this programme is perfect for you. We will teach you how to combine these hobbies with work in the industry that has become huge and gained local and worldwide importance.
This degree programme gives you many possibilities. Upon graduation, you can work at a travel agency or a tourist information office, or as a leisure time animator, SPA & wellness manager, health and lifestyle coach or tour guide.
Throughout the studies, you will learn to acquire and present tourist information. You will also find out how to prepare chosen forms of active tourism, and you will gain an understanding of the tourism and recreation professions.
We believe that practical aspects of a profession should be taught by experts working in the industry. That’s why specialisation courses will be conducted by business practitioners who will share their experience with you.
During classes, you will learn to use Ekoncept, MerlinX, Amadeus, BlueVendo, KWHotel and S4H – professional software for the management of plane tickets and hotel reservations, among others. Such software is used by tours operators as well as travel and event agencies.
Tourism and Recreation programme is for you if you are interested in geography, the culture of foreign countries or psychology. Upon graduation, you can become a tour guide, holiday representative or a travel agent, among others.
